Machine engineering is Germany's No. 1 export success. We serve this core industry within our own group at Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., with the Factory Automation/NC and Sink-eroding Machines divisions. Thus, in addition to extensive know-how gained through many years of experience, the EMC Competence Center also a direct link to this technology in combination with considerable competence in installation engineering.

A technically competent and reliable EMC test by the EMC Competence Center can save companies a great deal of time and money: it reduces machine standstills and thus expensive downtimes resulting from EMC faults. Tests conducted by us are not carried out, namely, solely from the point of view of purely functional safety, but always also taking quality aspects into consideration. Frequently a fault in the control cabinet is the reason for machine standstill and not really a mechanical defect, which, however, often only becomes apparent later.

Of equally great importance to the manufacturer is a complete and detailed documentation of the EMC test results, on the basis of which it can be established in full detail that the legal requirements are actually being fulfilled. This is a competitive advantage which should not be underestimated: the operator, namely, is also responsible for trouble-free operation. To that extent it is of decisive importance that the manufacturer can prove the tested safety in form of expert documentation prepared by the EMC Competence Center and thus relieve himself of blame in the event of possible operating failures or claims for compensation for damage by third parties against the operator. Not to mention the fact that for the manufacturer, uninterrupted operation is already a n outstanding argument in the sales discussion.
